I came to New Jersey from Ecuador at eight years old with no English. I learned it in half a year. Then I spent the rest of school outscoring the kids born here in spelling and language arts. I tell you that because it is what I do for a living now. Learn the thing fast. Then do it better than the people who take it for granted.

For nine years I have worked inside municipal government in New Jersey. In 2024 I founded a union local from scratch. I wrote its bylaws, and I serve as its president. I led the bargaining that won our members 12.5% in scheduled raises. I built the local's website myself, with a member area and digital cards, because nobody else was going to.

That is where Optimum comes from. I kept seeing good local businesses that were invisible online. Or worse, a site that made them look smaller than they are.
